Mint To Be
Mint To Be
This blend has been the gateway tea for many uninitiated coffee drinkers.
As a young adult, this was the first tea blend that I made with any consistency. I used it as a the trusted base blend and added additional herbs based on the preferences of whomever I was sharing a pot of tea with in the moment. As my palate and herbal skills grew more sophisticated, I abandoned this blend for new standards like Happyness Herbal Tea or Calm Focus.
One night on a tea blending frenzy, I added these three simple herbs together to take a trip down memory lane. And I fell in love all over again! Finally I am convinced this blend is Mint To Be in everyone’s kitchen cabinet.
Ingredients: Peppermint, Spearmint, Licorice Root.
Loose Leaf Tea Brewing Instructions:
-
Choose a strainer type: bombilla spoon, pot, infuser or tea bag.
-
Put 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon of herbs in a cup depending on strength preference; 1-2 tablespoons per pot of tea.
-
Bring water to a boil and steep 5-7 minutes. Since this is a herbal tisane there is no need to remove the leaves. The tea will not get bitter from over-steeping.
-
Enjoy!
-
When done enjoying the tea leaves, add water and offer them to your yard. The grass and the planet will thank you!
