Island Breeze

I feel like I am on vacation when I drink this blend. So lately, I have been drinking it everyday!

I was not sure what to think of hibiscus the first time I tried it. I was introduced to it as Agua de Jamaica by a dear friend from Trinidad. He took me on a culinary tour of the island flavors while living in Washington DC. The slightly sour and tart flavor is unfamiliar in the west. It took my a few tries to really get into it.

I have since learned to love the flavor! The ruby red color is nature’s indication that it is packed with vitamins and minerals.

This blend has stevia added to take the edge off the sourness of the hibiscus. The Yerba Mate provides a burst of invigoration just like being on vacation.

Ingredients: Lemongrass, Hibiscus, Eleuthero, Yerba Mate, Stevia.

Loose Leaf Tea Brewing Instructions:

1. Choose a strainer type: bombilla spoon, pot, infuser or tea bag.
2. Put 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon of herbs in a cup depending on strength preference: 1-2 tablespoons per pot of tea.
3. Bring water to a boil and steep 5-7 minutes. Our teas are blended to not get bitter from over-steeping.
4. Enjoy!
5. When done enjoying the tea leaves, add water and offer them to your yard. The grass and the planet will thank you!
