It has been cold recently for us (or at least San Diego cold), and we decided to drink hot toddies on the porch the other night, well I guess it’s not really that cold…
I did mention it is San Diego right!?!
Anyhow, we made hot toddies and gave it a twist on the sweetener and made a syrup with happyness tea.
This definitely changed this drink for me and now I have Happyness Tea Syrup ready to go at all times.
Ingredients:
4 ounces Hot water
2 ounces Ilegal Mezcal,
½ ounces Happyness Tea Syrup
¾ ounces lemon juice
1 lemon wheel
1 cinnamon stick
Instructions
In a teapot or saucepan, bring the water to a simmer.
Pour the hot water into a mug.
Add Mezcal, honey and lemon juice. Stir until all the the ingredients into the hot water.
Taste, and add lemon juice for more zing.
Garnish with a lemon round and cinnamon stick (if using). Enjoy!
